Terra and Dan’s wedding was hosted by the Middlebury Inn May 17 at this lovely gazebo on the Middlebury Green.

Terra and Dan chose Solo Flute for their wedding music.

Their prelude was a mix of classical and Celtic, with “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “Danny Boy” toward the end of the prelude. They chose two Irish tunes by Turlough O’Carolan for processionals – “Planxty Irwin” for the wedding party and “Fanny Power” for the bride. Additional music for the ceremony was “Lover’s Waltz” by Jay Unger and Molly Mason. For a recessional, they chose a traditional folk tune called “Swingin’ on a Gate.”

Some helpful very early guests (on the bench below!) offered to do a sound check for me to help me determine what the best location might be. There was quite a bit of loud traffic going around the green. The guests walked around a bit and gave solid assurance that the sound carried quite well (without amplification) nearly to the edge of the green, in spite of the traffic, which was great to know!
