Our family trio will be playing a mix of primarily Celtic and Classical music, alternating between flute/viola/harp and flute/violin/viola, at the lovely North Branch Cafe on Friday June 6 from 7:30 to 9:30. Come enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea, with a light meal or a scrumptious dessert, accompanied with light music.

“Turidae” (too’-ree-day’) is currently a trio of Lisa Carlson, flutist, and her two daughters, Mariah (harpist and violinist) and Clara (violist) Carlson-Kirigin.  Named in 2007, before Lisa and Mariah’s first full hour television recording at ORCA Media Studio, “Turidae” is a variation on the Latin word for the thrush family of birds, known for their flute-like song, and representing the Vermont state bird, the hermit thrush.  Our duo has been sought after for weddings from Manchester to Jay to East Burke and virtually everywhere in between since 2008, and in the summer of 2013, sister Clara joined to make a trio.
