Here are some pictures of our recent concerts at Heaton Woods supervised apartments and Mayo Nursing Home on July 2. Four students joined my daughter Mariah and I for a summer afternoon.

Jocelyn and Emily started things rolling with a few Suzuki tunes – Lightly Row, Aunt Rhody, and Allegro- accompanied by Mariah on harp. George and Cathy and I continued with some brief flute trio arrangements of portions of a few classical favorites: “Allegro” from Vivaldi’s “Spring,” the theme from “Swan Lake” by Tchaikowsky, “Hopak” by Moussorgsky, “Russian Sailor’s Dance” by Gliere, and “Largo” from “The New World Symphony” by Dvorak.

Cathy followed with a traditional Irish tune called “Last Rose of Summer,” accompanied by Mariah on harp. Then all the flutes joined together for “Long, Long Ago” in 4 part harmony.
