Catherine and Nick had a lovely, old fashioned church wedding at the Stowe Community Church, with a beautiful blend of traditional and unique personal choices for their ceremony.<\/p>\n

For their wedding music, Catherine and Nick chose Passeri Trio – Flutist Lisa Carlson, Violinist Elizabeth Reid, and Cellist Michael Close. The six bridesmaids and one ring bearer walked down the aisle to the very popular Pachelbel Canon in D. The bride’s entrance was accompanied by a unique personal favorite – “Gabriel’s Oboe” from the movie “The Mission” – arranged by our trio specifically for this occasion.<\/p>\n

Another unique musical touch in the middle of the ceremony was a recording of Elizabeth Von Trapp, Catherine’s aunt who was unable to be present in person (Catherine is a granddaughter in the Von Trapp family), singing “Love Never Ends.” This was a particularly special moment, since Elizabeth sang the same song at Catherine’s parents’ wedding 27 years earlier. The words represented one of Elizabeth’s favorite Psalms, and a touching message about the power of faith and hope and the enduring nature of love.<\/p>\n

For their first walk together as husband and wife, Catherine and Nick selected Handel’s Rejouissance for their recessional.<\/p>\n
