Dr. Suzuki\u00a0developed his method based on recreating, as much as possible, the\u00a0conditions involved in learning to speak.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"e3\"><span style=\"color: #000101; font-size: small;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000101; font-family: 'Trebuchet MS'; font-size: large;\">The primary aim of the Suzuki philosophy is to enrich children&#8217;s lives\u00a0through the joy of music. Students build self-esteem, confidence in meeting\u00a0new challenges, self-discipline, and concentration. Students listen daily to recordings of the repertoire, and initially\u00a0begin to play by ear, with reading postponed until aural and instrumental\u00a0skills are well established. Once pieces are learned, they are frequently\u00a0reviewed, serving as carefully selected building blocks which lead to\u00a0successful completion of future pieces.
