Tips on Tone and Intonation

Tone production and intonation on flute can be mysterious, elusive and immensely frustrating to improve and to teach. I am in the process of a series of blog entries regarding tone and intonation. These articles are my attempt to demystify the experience as much as possible in a way that is, as methodical, easy to follow, and clear, to the greatest extent I can do this without direct contact.

1) Tone: An Introduction

2) Tone: Posture and Positioning

3) Tone: Lining Up Head Joint and Air Stream

4) Using Your Diaphragm!
